Stone Center, Inc. (www.stonecenterinc.com) in Portland, OR, a master stone craftsman of fine marble and granite countertops, vanities and custom limestone fireplaces, announced today that it has selected fine artist George Porter at George Porter Fine Art (www.georgeporterfineart.com) in Lake Oswego, OR, as the first artist to be featured in a new series of art exhibits to be held at Stone Center, Inc.’s Southeast Portland showroom located at 1504 SE Woodward St., Portland, Oregon 97202.

Meet featured artist George Porter in person at the Opening Reception for "After the Masters: Light in the Landscape" at Stone Center, Inc. on Friday May 1, 2015 from 6PM - 9PM!

Refreshments and appetizers will be served. Appetizers provided by Ingallina’s Box Lunch (www.ingallina.net) in Portland, OR.

This art exhibit will appeal to everyone who appreciates fine art, beautiful stonework and master craftsmanship. It will be a creative evening out for anyone who is looking for something new and different, or for creative inspiration for a new project, or for a new painting to hang above their fireplace mantle. In particular, we hope that other Portland area artists who might be interested in a future art show at Stone Center, Inc. will attend the opening reception, as this is a chance to see another artist’s work displayed in this unique venue, to view the space, to network within the art community, and to appreciate both traditional fine art and the “art” that is stone craftsmanship.
